Good diner spot. Chicken and waffle was great. Home fries were seasoned really well. Definitely get some of the pepper gravy! We were lucky and didn't have to wait, but I can see where they fill up quick! Oh and the Humble Hot Sauce on the table was amazing!

We stopped in here for brunch while we were in Charleston. It was a restaurant Guy visited so we wanted to try it. The service was great. Parking is a little tuff as the place was busy. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. I had the early morning burger. It tasted good but I don't think I would get it with egg again. My wife had the chicken and waffles. She said hers was delicious. With tip the bill was 50. We would definitely stop in to eat again.

My boyfriend told me that during his college years (up to 10 years ago) this place had the best "The Mess" meal. I had an early morning flight today and I was looking for a place that opened at 7am and decided on a different spot at first but then i changed my mind and boy i am glad I did! "The Mess" meal was amazing, the pancake was the best i had so far and the biscuits and gravy (and the ones without gravy as well) were delicious and also, the cheese and grits: yummy! Definitely a place to come back to, which i plan to do when i return to the area! Recommend to everyone!

Solid brunch at the Early Bird Diner. Fantastic quality in the food with filling portions considering the price. The service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was great as a local spot that also sold local art on its walls.

Hands down THE BEST PANCAKE I’ve ever eaten! I’ve been craving a single pancake for months! I’ve also been driving past the Early Bird for months and timing just wasn’t right as I could never find a parking spot. But today! Today was the day the stars aligned and it was surprisingly slow. I sat at the bar and ordered the pancake with the house made sausage, bacon, and a fried easy egg. Everything came out quickly and the staff is very friendly and welcoming! They’ve got a pretty varied menu for a diner and I love it! Will definitely be back with the wife to tray some other offerings! The friend tomato’s are calling my name! Grew music and atmosphere and the have some clever pictures of Ice T on the Tea and Ice machine that made me chuckle inside and I appreciated the ambience! Great job to you all at the Early Bird and kudos to the kitchen staff! You’ve got some talent back there! Unfortunately I ate my food before I could think to grab a. Picture it tasted so good! Cheers

Went to lunch with my husband, Early Bird never disappoints. Today was extraordinary. I tried something different for me, the Snitzle Sandwich! I am a huge sandwich fan! I can tell you without a doubt this was the best unique sandwich I have had in a decade. The pork cutlet was fried to perfection, the mushroom gravy, just enough to add flavor without taking away the crunch perfection, the idyllically toasted bread was butter like it was being served to the gods... all to make this sandwich the most delightful luncheon in years!

Great service and food! Art (also for sale) all around makes this place very inviting and comfortable. Had "The mess" just thinking about it...

Came highly recommend and I am glad I came here! The chicken and waffle were amazing! You don't even need strup as the honey mustard sauce is sweet enough and goes perfect with each bite of waffle and fried chicken. Also, tried the corn cakes benedict with their grits, and let me tell you that those grits are by themselves worth the visit. I will definitely be back again!
